📖✨ The article examines the impact of access cavity design on calcium hydroxide removal using various cleaning protocols. The study, conducted using confocal laser scanning microscopy, evaluates cavities prepared in both traditional and ultraconservative manners, as well as the use of different cleaning methods (EDDY sonic activation, Er,Cr:YSGG laser-activated irrigation, or conventional irrigation with IrriFlex).
🔬🦷 What is noteworthy in this study is that among the different techniques, IrriFlex achieves a comparable level to sonic activation or laser in terms of penetration depth, penetration area, and non-penetration percentage for various access cavity designs (TradAC and UltraAC.Inc).
